The organizers of Rock in Rio 2022 have apologized for a bizarre mix-up that left British singer Joss Stone off the lineup. Stone was scheduled to perform at the festival in Brazil on September 2 but was accidentally left off the lineup that was announced on Tuesday.
Stone's management team said in a statement that they were "extremely disappointed" by the error.
"We have been working with Rock in Rio for months to confirm Joss's performance," the statement said. "We are very disappointed that this error has occurred and that Joss will not be able to perform at the festival.
Rock in Rio organizers said in a statement that they were "deeply sorry" for the error and that they were working to rectify the situation.
"We are very sorry for this mistake and we are doing everything we can to make it right," the statement said. "We are in contact with Joss's management team and we are hopeful that we can find a way to make it up to her.
Rock in Rio is one of the world's largest music festivals, and it is held every two years in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The festival lineup this year includes Guns N' Roses, Post Malone, Justin Bieber, and The Black Eyed Peas.
