England reach Euro 2024 final after dramatic win over Netherlands

Late goal from Ollie Watkins sends Three Lions through to Sunday's showpiece at Wembley

England are through to the final of Euro 2024 after a dramatic 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the semi-finals.

Gareth Southgate's side looked to be heading for extra-time after Steven Bergwijn cancelled out Luke Shaw's early opener.

But Watkins popped up with a stunning winner in the 89th minute to send the Three Lions into the final against Spain on Sunday.

It is the first time that England have reached the final of a major tournament since Euro 2020, when they lost to Italy on penalties.

They will now be hoping to go one better this time and win their first major trophy since the 1966 World Cup.
