Dallas, TX - June 3, 2024 (AP) - Larry Allen, one of the most dominant offensive linemen in NFL history, has signed a three-year contract worth $1.76 million with the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced on Friday. The deal includes a $5,000 signing bonus and guarantees $500,000 of Allen's salary.
The 6-foot-2, 325-pound guard spent the past two seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. Before that, he played for the Cowboys from 1994 to 2005, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro honors.
Allen's signing is a significant boost to the Cowboys' offensive line, which struggled at times last season. The 41-year-old veteran provides experience and leadership to a young group of linemen.
The Cowboys are scheduled to open the regular season on September 11th against the New York Giants.
